QUESTION:
Hey Tony!
I just watched your videos and your story on You Tube. Man, you are inspirational!!!
Can you tell me what your reason and motivation was to transform yourself?
I know what to do but need a strong reason. I know it's got to be my reason, but perhaps "your reason" might help me.
Thanks for sharing your valuable information on your blog and on YouTube!
Very informative and Motivational!
All My Best!
ANSWER:
There can be a lot of reasons to lose weight. The Number one thing that I think people need to know is that they need to lose weight for themselves. I think once you realize that this is something that only you can do and that you have to do to help yourself, it is motivational.
Here are some reasons why I lost weight....
1)I knew i was physically unhealthy and that if I didn't change myself i wouldn't live a full life.
2)My weight made me so unhappy. I felt depressed most of the time with nothing to comfort me except for food.
3) My weight kept me back from having a social life and from making friends because many people see you for what's on the outside first.
4) I wanted a girlfriend. I didn't just want any girlfriend i wanted to date my best friend who i had liked for 7 years and i knew that i needed to change in order for her to see me in a different light. So in order for me to actually be happy I had to lose weight.

Hi Tony
ReplyDeleteMy name is Josh and I'm from the UK, and I have a question:
Firstly, I'd like to say that before I started my weight loss journey I was bigger that you were, in fact I had to lose about 25lbs to be the size you were when you started; Between 2010-11 I lost about 30lbs through dieting alone, then last October I went to university, put the vast majority of the weight back on and now I'm looking for a more permanent fix. The worrying thing though is I'm really not confident with any kind of exercise routine; I'm never sure I'm doing it right and in a gym as a big guy I naturally feel self conscious; I guess what I'm asking here is how do you know when you're exercising correctly? is it a gut feeling or can you only judge by what the scales show?
Thanks for reading this
A good indication of if your doing it right is how much the scale is moving every week. Although i personally like to judge each workout individually. by this i mean that i go into the gym and i want to be out of breath, sweating, and crawling out by the end. In my opinion the best way to know if your workout is effective is if you are breathing heavy for most of it and feel deep down that you are pushing yourself to the very limit, and once you are at that limit where lifting or running physically hurts you need to lift that weight again and again until you cant move it anymore or run through the pain to a greater pain. Basically i mean you should go into the gym and feel that you have given 110%.
