QUESTION:
I have two questions...
1) how do you stay healthy when someone else buys your food and you really don't get a say?
2) what do you when your meal times are different everyday? On Saturdays I finish work at midnight and between 10pm-1am I get hungry because I've been up too long...
ANSWER:
1) I would try to persuade the person that is buying your food to buy you healthy food because you are trying to lose weight and be healthy. If this doesn't work you can offer to pay half for “your” food. if this fails then you may have to buy your own food.
2) if you are hungry at night i would suggest eating lean protein and/or healthy fats. Lean protein and healthy fats have a very slow digestion rate so they keep you fuller longer. a great source of protein in cottage cheese because it is a casein protein which is the slowest digesting protein. you can throw in a tablespoon of peanut butter or ½-1 serving of nuts. another great snack would be a salad with chicken breast (no dressing.)

Thanks for answering my questions... I've starting buying my own foods and i walk three times a day every day and so far i've lost 6.8lbs in 3 weeks. Your blogs are awesome and very informative and i check them daily to make sure i'm on the right track. I'm yet to lose a size in clothing.. how long did it take you to lose a size?
ReplyDeleteGreat news on the weight loss! Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteIt's very rewarding when you start to see results for your efforts. I think I lost 10-15 pounds before I dropped a clothes size. Please come back and let me know how you're doing.
I saw your video in Youtube, very inspiring!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and thank you for sharing your experience.
I used to be really skinny and I never worried about weight problems, but I had a baby a 2 years ago, and I haven't been able to loose weight, because of my job, my studies (yes I do both), I am a single mother, and my mind is worried about a lot of things and other kind of problems I have that I would get unmotivated and depressed and just quit and not trying to think about it, trying to love myself just the way I am, but I still want to loose weight and recover my figure, sometimes it seems impossible, it's like I can't imagine myself skinny like I used to be anymore, and I have an hormonal problem that doesn't help that much either... but I'm not going to give up and I changed my mind in this past 2 years, I want to lose weight not because of my appearance, but because I want to feel healthy, energetic, and I want to do a lot of things that I am not able to do now, I want to be the best of myself I can be.
Sometimes it's not easy to keep that motivation 24/7... we can feel like we are in the top of the world and then in the next day feel absolutely awful.. that's why I believe that it's all in your mind, the way you see the world and your life that makes the difference, that is why it's good to see what other people accomplished, like your story, it makes people or myself feel that first you are never alone, second you are not the only one with problems in the world, third it's possible, so we have to stop feeling sorry about ourselves and be brave and work hard , because no one is going to do that for us, we should never give up or quit because maybe we are just a little effort away to the next step and we are not aware of that, because we think about what we weren't capable of do, instead of thinning of what we've accomplished, if you give up that's it but if we truly believe, then we can do it, to just have faith and and work hard, to live our life according to who we want to become, and what do we want of our lives.
Thank you for sharing your story, sorry I wrote so much but I felt like sharing a little bit of what I feel as well.
I'm glad you took the time to come by and leave us a note. What you have said is so true. Plus, keeping motivation is hard, but it's doable. Please come back and let us know how you're doing.
DeleteDo you think Fitness Boot Camp Folsom will be a great decision to carry out? I am thinking a group or professionals can led me up to a good plan and optimistically reach my target goals.
